Apple?s iOS 10 features include the ability to develop animated emoticons (aka emojis) for iMessage with the help of the Messages API. Needless to say, iOS developers and Apple device users will be on cloud nine to get a new set of animated emoticons added to their messaging palette.
During the?WWDC 2016 event, Apple noted that third-party integration will become a reality with the new iOS 10. When it comes to messages, the tech giant promised that iPhone and iPad users will be able to see rich link previews, complete with artwork.
Furthermore,?iOS 10 users will also be able to play videos inside the chat area. The new software will also bring in bigger and better emojis with emoji predictions and bubble effects in tow. Also noteworthy is the handwriting recognition feature,?Tech2 noted.
Following the grand announcement, Apple has now released four apps (sticker packs) for iOS 10 beta testers. The list includes ?Classic Mac, Hands, Hearts and Smileys.? All these apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. However, readers should note that the new bunch of emoticons is available only for the beta testers.
While the Classic Mac takes the user to the peaceful 1980s, the emojis under the category Smileys, Hearts and Hands look well refined and cheerful. Especially the strong emotions in the face of Smileys look top-notch.
The stickers under Hands category have some of the coolest hand gestures ever. Nevertheless, the ones acquainted to Apple Watch will be familiar with the icons and stickers in the new pack.
Similar to the Facebook Messenger, Apple will reportedly allow iOS 10 developers to create and add emojis or gifs to iMessage. To top it off, these sticker packs can also be used in the upcoming macOS Sierra for Macs,?iDownloadBlog noted.
