Apple has filed patents for the dual sim feature at the regional United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The brand is ?also seeking similar patents from the State Intellectual Property Office of China.
Li Su, the principal architect for cellular software at Apple, has filed the patent. His designation is mentioned as ?inventor? on the patent application, according to the International Business Times. With a dual-SIM card feature, iPhone users will be able to use two phone numbers.
The embedded sim can find the networks automatically. But the dual sim iPhone 8 is likely to come out only in India and China.

Apple is likely to release three variants of the iPhone in 2017. The three iPhone models are designated as D20, D21 and D22. Among the three models, one will be a high-end version with?an exotic technology. It will have a glass sandwich design and a borderless display. This iPhone 8 is codenamed as ?Ferrari?. It is also expected to carry an invisible home, button according to Apple Insider.
Apple is interested in adding a wireless charging feature into the iPhone 8. ?Apple will work with a company called Energous, Energous is a startup specializing in long-distance wireless charging technology. Energous has confirmed that it is developing hardware components with Apple chip supplier Dialog Semiconductor.
