Apple iPhone 8 Release Date, Rumor: iPhone 7s and 7s Plus Coming Next Year Along with iPhone 8

Everyone would know by now that next year?s iPhone release will be dubbed as the 10th Anniversary iPhone, or the iPhone 8. It also known by many that there will be three versions of the said phone. Nevertheless, new information has come to light and suggests that the iPhone 8 will be just one version. Along with it, the minor update of the iPhone 7 will also come. Rumor has it that Apple will still push for the iPhone 7s and the 7s Plus on next year?s smartphone update.

According to the Japanese blog Mac Otakara, the iPhone 7s and the 7s Plus will have the same external features as the current ?iteration. The only minor difference is the updated processor which is lightly dubbed as the A11 chip. As to be expected with every Apple product update, the new processor will be faster and better than its predecessor.

In addition to the processor, Apple is also rumored to introduce new colors for the upcoming iPhone 7s. Apart from the usual Silve, Rose Gold, Gold, Black and Jet Black, the smartphone will also be released in Red. Another color that has been talked about many times is the supposed ?Jet White? color. The iPhone 7s and the 7s Plus will be released in their usual sizes, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, respectively.

On the other hand, the iPhone 8 will still become available as a special edition iPhone. This version of the iPhone will mark the phone?s 10th year since its release.

If rumors are to be believed, this special edition iPhone will sport a dual-glass housing and an edge-to-edge AMOLED display. Also, the iPhone 8 will feature the much hyped virtual home button that will replace the existing physical home button.

Mac Otakara has been reliable when it comes to rumors on all Apple products. In fact, it was the same website which leaked Apple?s plans on removing the headphone jack on the iPhone 7.

Most experts have agreed that Apple indeed plans on releasing three different versions of the iPhone next year. However, these are mere speculations only. Whether these reports will materialize or not, only Apple will know for sure. At the moment, the tech giant is busy at work prototyping the next generation Apple product that will be released in the market soon.
