Apple?s iPhone 7 and?Samsung?s Galaxy Note 7 are two of the heavily-rumored devices earmarked for release in the third quarter of 2016. Apple devices are not particularly known for featuring impressive battery units. However, this time around, a new report says the iPhone 6s successor?s battery will be relatively bigger.
The credible tipster @onleaks is back with new scoop saying the iPhone 7 will come equipped with a 1,960mAh battery unit. In comparison, the current-generation iPhone 6s carries a 1,715mAh cell. Although this cannot be considered as a huge upgradation, it?s still better than the iPhones released in the past.
This also means that KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo?s predictions are absolutely right, as always. Not long ago, he mentioned that Apple will not make any over-the-top changes to the iPhone 7. Instead, the tech giant will upgrade the internal configurations.
As far as the rumored specifications go, the bigger sibling iPhone 7 Plus is believed to sport a dual-camera setup, while the flagship iPhone 7 will apparently settle for a 12MP single-lens shooter at the back.
The smaller sibling will reportedly feature the same pocket-friendly 4.7-inch display, and the bigger one will continue to carry the same 5.5-inch screen, according to?MacRumors. However, there is no word on the 4.0-inch variant.
The 4.0-inch display clad iPhone SE?s demand has not been sky-high, after all, it was created to cater to a niche target audience. Hence, there is a good chance that Apple might skip this variant altogether.
Under the hood, there is no surprise here as the upgraded Apple A10 processor will power the device. This is the same case with software configuration as well as the?latest OS version iOS 10 will run the device out of the box.
Apple never goes overboard when it comes to RAM configuration. This time too, the flagship is expected to come backed by 2GB of RAM, whereas the Plus variant will reportedly come with a 3GB unit.
Other rumored iPhone 7 features include a Type C USB connector, smart connector, and the usual suspects like fingerprint scanner and Apple Pay support. However, the interesting speculation, so far, has been the possibility of water-proofed exterior. As we near the iPhone 7 release date in September, many such rumors might pop up.
In any case, readers are advised to take the reported iPhone 7 specifications with the proverbial pinch of salt as Apple has not confirmed any information so far.
