Apple users who’ve been waiting for the new Apple Beats X wireless earbuds are in for a treat. Apple recently announced that the wireless earbuds will be available on Feb. 10, which is just two days away. Aside from that, consumers can choose from two other colors besides the previously announced black and white options, as the Beats X earbuds will also be available in gray and blue.

It can be recalled that the release of the wireless earbuds was previously delayed. Back in December, five months after Apple unveiled the product, it announced that the earbuds won’t be released until February. The Cupertino-based company originally targeted a fall 2016 release for Beats X, according to The Verge.

When you go to the Apple listing of Beats X now, you’ll see that it’s tagged as “currently unavailable,” but it states that it’s “coming February.” The price is listed as US$149.95.

The official listing of Beats X boasts that its users will enjoy “authentic, clear sound with optimized noise isolation.” “An innovative acoustic design delivers a clean treble response and distortion-free bass for the most natural tonality across a broad range of genres,” the listing further states.

Though the wireless concept for earphones has been ridiculed by some, Apple continues to sell the feature. The earbuds’ very small size provides “easy pocket portability” and personalized fit, thanks to its Flex-Form Cable. It can also be worn around the neck; hence the term “neckbuds.” The Beats X is also easy to set up; all you need to do is press the power button and hold it near your iPhone. Afterward, you can simultaneously connect it to your other Apple devices such as iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

Besides the portability and the sound quality, Apple also claims that the product’s battery will last up to eight hours. In addition, the earbuds’ Fast Fuel feature allows it to be charged in just five minutes, which reportedly could give you two hours of playback time.

Those interested in the Bea tsX can purchase it directly from Apple’s official website. Users will need to have an iCloud account. It’s also only compatible with macOS Sierra, iOS 10, and watchOS3. Besides listening to music, users of the wireless earbuds can also use it to take calls and activate Siri with RemoteTalk.

Meanwhile, along with the Beats X release date announcement, Apple also said that the AirPods are now available for pre-order. Those who order now can receive the product as early as next week. The AirPods cost US$159.
