Angry Birds Seasons to be treated with South HAMerica update by Rovio

Game developer Rovio has just released another update to their popular Angry Birds Seasons game, the adventure-filled and festive version of their ubiquitous, physics-based Angry Birds series. The patch update brings in a bunch of fresh levels in ?South HAMerica? (a funny spin on South America, if you still haven?t sipped your morning coffee).

Angry Birds Seasons is the second iteration to the game franchise developed by Rovio Entertainment. It was released initially for iOS devices on October 2010. The game retains the mechanics of the original Angry Birds where players use a slingshot to hurl a variety of birds to destroy nearby structures and hit pig targets located within.

This update is apparently issued in reference to the ongoing World Cup happening in Brazil. Rovio playfully narrated, ?The unsuspecting birds are attentively watching the World Cup, so it should come as no surprise that the pigs take this opportunity to go for the eggs!? Angry Bird Seasons? South HAMerica update will offer 24 new levels along with three bonus levels.

In the “What’s New” section of their Google Play listing, this how Rovio described the South HAMerica expansion:

?Make sure you?ve got your passport ?cos this time we?re off to SOUTH HAMERICA! 24 tricky new levels plus three bonus ones, each packed with relics, artifacts and? pesky piggies!

NEW HIGH-ALTITUDE LEVELS! Get ready to navigate mountains in 24 free levels full of ancient statues, shaky rope bridges and swinging relics!

STOP THE PIGGIES! Those green swine are digging for treasure and trying to steal it, but you can stop them ? right??

While Angry Bird Seasons is free on Google Play, it is offered in the Apple App Store for $ 0.99 and $ 2.99 for the iPhone and HD iPad versions, respectively. Before this South HAMerica update, the game had released an ?Arctic Eggspedition? patch back in November 2013 which introduced a bunch of frosty levels. A few days ago, Rovio also updated their Angry Birds Go! Game to feature multiplayer racing support.

In their official blog post, developers of Angry Birds Seasons posted a South HAMerica trailer with a ?Telenovela? theme. Telenovelas are a variation of soap operas that are extremely popular in South America. Check out the video here:
