Angelina Jolie will seemingly be busy with movies again months after laying low due to her divorce drama. The actress will reportedly even get VIP treatment for an upcoming project. News about it was released amid rumors that her ex, Brad Pitt, and Kate Hudson are already pregnant.
Is Angelina Jolie back to making movies?
The “Maleficent” star directed the film “First They Killed My Father.” It is based on the memoir of a Khmer Rouge survivor. It will premiere this Saturday, February 18 at Cambodia’s Angkor Wat temple complex.
As per USA Today, Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni will preside over the event. Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk will also be present. Insiders have also confirmed the attendance of other senior government officials.
Jolie did the Khmer-language film on location back in 2015. She is also slated to grace the special screening in Cambodia. Sources claim that the King and top leaders plan to give her the VIP treatment.

The Hollywood star’s Cambodia-born son Maddox is not yet confirmed to attend. She adopted him close to 15 years ago and brought him from the southeast Asian country to the US. Now a teenager, her eldest son reportedly even helped on the film.
Jolie began working with Cambodia in 2001 under U.N.’s refugee agency. The 41-year-old has also built a foundation to promote social development in the country’s most rural areas. Cambodian royalties are said to be very pleased with her help and the soon-to-be released movie. They are especially flattered that the actress chose to have the premiere there instead of staging a Hollywood event.
Hiatus amid the divorce drama
The busy promotions for “First They Killed My Father” and Jolie’s Cambodia trip could not come at a more perfect time. This is due to how her estranged husband is currently making news. According to online rumors, Brad Pitt and actress Kate Hudson are pregnant. The reports came out in spite of how the two have not even confirmed their relationship yet.
Aside from the alleged pregnancy, latest news about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been mostly about their custody battle. Both sides have been throwing different accusations to prove who deserves sole custody of their six children. The gravity of their allegations have gotten so harsh that both have noticeable laid low from showbusiness for months.
