Android 7.0 is the upcoming version of the Android OS, which everyone has been looking forward to. The update has been made available for beta testing and early feedback has been very positive. It is said to bring new and exciting features to Android devices, which will surely make it very popular much like its predecessor the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Android N

The name of Android N was subject to a ton of rumor and speculation. Google did not really give any indication as to what name they will go with for the upcoming OS. They even allowed the public to submit name submissions for Android N. Finally, they have revealed what the upcoming OS will be called.

According to KnowYourMobile, Android N is going to be officially called Android Nougat. Yes, Nougat may not have been the best name for some but the letter ?N? did not really give Google a lot of options. Some have given the suggestions for the Android N to be called Nutella, Nachos or Neapolitan Ice Cream but I guess those weren?t that practical in the eyes of Google.

If you are excited to update your device to Android Nougat you may not have to wait too long. According to the same report, it appears that the final dates for the rollout of the upcoming Android OS may not be too far off.

AndroidPit reports that the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat may depend on the kind of device that you have. The same report has revealed that HTC seems to be the first manufacturer to schedule a release of the update as the company has sent a tweet confirming the update for three of its devices.

If you are excited to get the Android Nougat update on your smartphone or tablet, be sure to check back here soon as we will give you an update of the rollout as soon as it has been revealed.
