In the three months that Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat , adoption rate is still in its all time low. To date, less than 1 percent of the entire Android population has the new OS installed. Consumers are now beginning to wonder when they will get the Android 7.0 Nougat on their mobile devices.
Unfortunately, not all Android devices are created equally. While some will have update preference, others will get left behind.

Nexus and Pixel phones
The Nexus and Pixel phones are the first ones to get the OS update from Google. These phones run the Android operating system in its barest configuration so minimal tinkering on the developers? part is needed. If you are using any of these phones, chances are, the update is ready for you to download.
LG V20 and G5
The very first mobile phone to come out with Android Nougat directly from the box is the LG V20. So, updating is not an issue apart from the latest patches that tweak the phone?s security features. However, the G5 version of Nougat has now been released in South Korea with other regions following suit in the next few weeks. Sadly, there are no indications yet as to when the G4 and V10 will get their Nougat updates.
Samsung and HTC
Last week, Samsung has started acquiring test dummies to try out their version of Nougat on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones. Those who have the Galaxy Beta Program or Samsung Members app may begin downloading the developer beta of the OS. That being said, not all Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners are entitled to the update. For US owners, subscription under T-Mobile, Sprint, or Verizon is required.
On the other hand, HTC 10 users are rumored to get their Nougat update sometime this November or December. According to HTC, its team of developers are now nearing the build completion of the Nougat version for the said phone. However, as for other HTC phones, users are still urged to wait for any update from HTC.
Motorola and Huawei
Based on the previous updates, Motorola and Huawei are set to release their versions of Android 7.0 Nougat sometime before the end of 2016. So users, watch out.
Xiaomi, on the other hand, has announced that it requires participants to test the Nougat on the Mi 5 smartphone. The test will start on the 21st of Nov. Mi 5 owners who want to participate will need to register to avail the update.
