Google has recently released the fifth and final preview of Android Nougat to its developers. Here are details about Android 7.0 Nougat release date and devices that are likely to get the new update.

It is already clear that Android Nougat is in the final stage of beta testing. Now famous tipster Evan Blass has claimed that the company will launch the new operating system soon after the release of the new security patch on August 5. However, Blass has not provided a specific date, he seems quite sure that the release will happen within August.

Along with the release of Android Nougat, Blass has also claimed that Nexus 5 owners will not get the latest operating system. Other Nexus devices that will receive Android Nougat include Google’s Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus Player and Nexus 9. Google is reportedly working on a new Nexus 7 to showcase Android Nougat.

Recently, HTC also claimed that its devices will soon receive Android Nougat. The devices that are supposed to receive update are HTC 10, One M9, and One A9. Back in June HTC posted a tweet confirming the update. Sony has also announced that Xperia Z3 smartphone users can install Android Nougat. However, the company has not yet confirmed the update for its newer devices.

Meanwhile, Android Nougat is supposed to include some head turning features. The new operating system will include a VR mode especially designed for the company’s recently launched VR headset, ?Daydream?. With the VR mode, Daydream would support a number of different Android devices. This new app would let the users take advantage of intelligent head-tracking and stereo notifications that work for VR.

Another useful app is the ?multiwindow? that is available in Android ?Nougat?. With this app, users can perform two different tasks at the same time. It shows two apps in a split screen. The feature is already in several Samsung and LG phones. Now, it will be available in every device that will run Android Nougat.

There are a few more updates including sustained performance mode, keyboard shortcuts helper and reply in a notification without opening an application.
