Anime fans, here?s something you should look forward to.
Expect a three-part prequel of Kore Yamazaki’s manga The Ancient Magus’ Bride, known in Japan as Mah? Tsukai no Yome, for its fifth volume.
This was announced recently where Mah? Tsukai no Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito (The Ancient Magus’ Bride – The Man Who Waits for Stars) will cover the story from before Chise meets the Magus, the report of Anime News Network said. The anime prequel will be grouped into three volumes, the sixth, seventh and eighth volume of the manga. The first part will be opened in eight selected theaters for just two weeks after a video teaser is streamed on online video channel, YouTube.
When? Well, the promo video will be uploaded on Thursday while the first full part will debut on August 13. It should be noted, as posted in the report, that Yamazaki was the original writer of the anime. However, movie director of Yowamushi Pedal will take the helm of directing the film. Aya Takaha, on the other hand, is the scriptwriter.
The cast members were also named in the article, which includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Chise Hattori, Ryota Takeuchi as Elias, Kouki Uchiyama as Ruth and Aya Endo as Silver. Hirotaka Kat? and Bamboo will be handling the character animation and background art, respectively.
Meanwhile, Seven Seas in North America provided a description for the story. In its narration, Chise Hatori lived a life without love since she was far from her family. As expected, she experienced a lot of troubles. But little did she know, someone will change her life and that?s a magus. A magus is a sorcerer of great power, as said in the description. He will help Chise to be free from captivity.
The manga was launched in 2013 by Yamazaki at Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine. However, it stopped publication the following year.
