From 36 acts, America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2016 keeps only 21 hopefuls to compete for the title. The much awaited AGT semifinals, which will start this week, will see the remaining contestants compete for a slot in the Top 10 acts on NBC?s hit talent show.
Viewers were introduced to the first batch of AGT semifinalists during the live show on July held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. On August 2, members of the second batch were identified, then the third batch followed during the August 26 live show. Each batch is composed of seven semi-finalists.
The first batch of semifinalists that will be battling for the final round include Musicality, a high school vocal ensemble; singers Jayna Brown and Laura Bretan; magician Jon Dorenbos; and comedian Tape Face. Lori Mae Hernandez, another comedian and the stunt couple called Deadly Games also join the battle on the final round.
The second batch has Sal Valentinetti and Kadie Lynn, who are both singers. It also includes the mentalist couple, The Clairvoyants; Steven Brundage, a magician and expert in Rubic?s cubes; Viktor Kee, a theatrical juggler; and Sofie Dossi, a contortionist.
Finally, we have the third batch that is composed of Malevo, a male Argentinian dance group; Edgar Family Band and magicians Blake Vogt and Kadan Bart Rockett. Grace VanderWaal, Brian Justin Crum and Linkin Bridge, who are all singers, are also included on the list.
Date of ?AGT? Eliminations
The first batch of semifinalists will be dealing with the eliminations on August 30. The second elimination for the next batch is slated to air on September 6. After two eliminations, the top 10 finalists will be introduced. They will then compete for the top 5 act.
