A contestant from NBC?s reality series, American Ninja Warrior Season 8 became an internet sensation overnight after his performance wearing a T-Rex costume and clawing his way across the show?s obstacle course in an inflatable dinosaur suit won the hearts of many.

The man behind the Ninja T-Rex, competitor Riko Rivera, wasn?t new to American Ninja Warrior though he performed better in the dino suit than when he previously competed on the show. The T. Rex was a fierce competitor, showing off his impressive agility, incredible strength and intense athleticism, but despite his fiery determination, his little arms couldn?t keep him longer in the obstacle course, as after making through several of the barriers and blocks, he fell off the swinging rings.

Check out the hilarious video below along with funny quips from the commentators as host Matt Iseman, says, ?It wasnt’ a meteor that ended the dinosaurs, it was the spin-cycle.?

One of the show other highlights was Meagan Martin’s record-breaking performance who was the only woman among 25 finishers in the Indianapolis region.

This was Martin’s third consecutive trip up the Warped Wall on a qualifying course. Though the 26-year-old professional rock climber was finally able to advance on to regional finals she almost ended her dream run when she slipped.

On her first try, Martin’s footing slipped and she didn’t get a good grip on the top of the wall. But it didn’t phase her. “I knew I had two more chances,” Martin said. “I noticed it was a little wet on the left side, so on my second attempt, I tried to stay on the right. Luckily, it worked out?perfectly!”

Another incredible and inspirational performance was given by Zach Gowen, a one-legged former wrestling champion who took on the difficult obstacle course and absolutely won over the crowd. Zach was diagnosed with cancer when he was a child and in order to save his life, doctors had to amputate one of his legs.

The 33-year-old native of Ypsilanti, Michigan took off his artificial leg and waved it at the crowd before undertaking the grueling obstacle course, expertly negotiating several features of the contest to euphoric applause, reports Rappler. However, he was eliminated after failing to pass the third obstacle, dropping backwards into a pool of water.

American Ninja Warrior is the action-packed series that follows competitors as they tackle a series of challenging obstacle courses in both city qualifying and city finals rounds across the country. Those that successfully complete the finals course in their designated region move on to the national finals round in Las Vegas, where they face a stunning four-stage course modeled after the famed Mt. Midoriyama course in Japan. The winner takes home a grand prize of $1 million.
