American Ninja Warrior finalist Anthony DeFranco recently bonded with fans. DeFranco attended a meet and greet on Friday at Columbia Middle School upper field. In the said event, the local celebrity hero was photographed with his fans of all ages. He was also kind enough to answer all of their questions.

DeFranco is Berkeley Heights’ own American Ninja Warrior. He qualified earlier in the summer in Philadelphia before he finished 11th at the regional finals held at the same city. The top 15 performers moved forward to the the Las Vegas season finals of the hit NBC show.

According to DeFranco, the chance to bond with the ninjas was his favourite part about competing in the show. He said the experience was friendly and gave him a chance to be able to meet new people.

Being an athlete his whole life, DeFranco was known to be a member of the track and wrestling teams at Gov. Livingston High School. He was also declared as the champion in the 2011 outdoor pole vault state. When he graduated from Gov. Livingston High School, he pursued his career in pole vaulting at the Rider University.
