Amazon and Fuji TV confirmed that they have agreed to a deal allowing Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block to stream on Amazon. According to Anime News Network, the two giant companies have finally inked an agreement for Amazon Prime Video service to stream anime content from Fuji TV.
Amazon Prime Video is set to air the newest installments of Noitamina?s Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. When? You can catch these episodes every Friday at 3:00 in the morning. These will be hours after Fuji TV airs it on their own network.
The other good news is that, due to their partnership, the anime series will be also simultaneously aired outside Japan, enabling it to reach more audience. However, certain places where the series will be available for access through the two platforms have yet to be revealed.
It should be noted that the head of Amazon Studios Roy Price revealed in January through his Twitter account that the company will be streaming the Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress not just in Japan but even in the United States.
It was previously reported that Amazon has already been a main platform for streaming anime series worldwide. However, the company has yet to confirm nor deny the reports about the scope of their streaming rights.
The Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress will be debuting on April 7 in Japan.
According to the report of Anime News Network, Fuji TV released the first Noitamina programming block more than 10 years ago. As of now, ERASED (Boku dake ga Inai Machi) is the current program.
