Xiaomi has been working on an unnamed upper-mid-range device for some time now. Rumor has it that the handset in focus is the long-awaited ?Xiaomi Mi Note 2? smartphone. Today, an official teaser has been uploaded on Weibo by the Chinese tech giant, hinting at the impending release of the handset.
NDTV says the Chinese Weibo post roughly translates to “Love it, no one lose? and the image attached to the post shows “2>5.” Xiaomi has apparently let the fans decode ?2>5.? It is worth noting that, other than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, the tech giant is also believed to be working on a new variant of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5.
The?speculation is that the number ?2? in the teaser represents Note 2, while the number ?5? represents the new Mi 5 variant. Many such interesting teasers can be expected in the next couple of days until we reach the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 release date.
As far as the rumored Mi Note 2 specifications and features go, Xiaomi will reportedly release three models (standard, high and top-end) of this handset. Past reports suggested that this device will come equipped with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of native storage options with a combination of either 6GB or 4GB of RAM.
It is worth noting that, 6GB RAMs are becoming the new norm as the recently released OnePlus 3 already comes with this configuration. Not to forget, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been rumored for long to feature the same specification. ?
When it comes to camera configuration, the Note 2 is believed to sport a 12-megapixel rear-facing dual camera unit. Keeping the lights on is a solid 4,000mAh battery unit with rapid charging support in tow. This device will apparently feature a fingerprint scanner, complete with ?3D Touch? functionality.
Speaking of price, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will reportedly set the buyers back by CNY 2,499 (roughly $375) for the combination of 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.
