A lot of people got excited when LG sent out their invitations for the September launch of their newest smartphone, the V20. It seems like fans are still in for more treats. Just a day after the said announcement, a leak from a Korean news agency was published through their website. This leak pertains to the alleged specifications of the phone.

According to the Seoul Economic Daily, the V20 – nicknamed ?Avengers? – boasts much higher security and faster processing through Android 7.0 Nougat.

Leaked V20 Specifications
CPUQualcomm Snapdragon 820
Storage32 or 64GB (two variants)
Extra StoragemicroSD (up to 256GB)
Display5.5-inch ?in-cell touch? LCD (1920×1080)
CameraFront: 20 megapixels

Rear: 8 megapixels

Operating SystemAndroid 7.0 Nougat

Based on the ?supposed? specifications, it seems that LG is planning on releasing two variants of the same model. Also, according to the source, the upgrade on the battery claims that the new LG V20 will have a standby time of around 320 hours.

Unfortunately for fans of the previous model, LG might fall short on the screen department if they pursue the alleged specification. The V10 boasts a 5.7-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution. However, having an ?in-cell? touch display would mean that the new phone will be thinner than the previous model.

Perhaps the most interesting upgrade for the phone apart from the new Android operating system is its processor. From the same article, the new flagship smartphone will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The Snapdragon 820 is a 64-bit, quad-core 2.2GHz processor that boasts a more advanced Wi-Fi, LTE download speed of 600Mbps, and increased battery efficiency among other things.

Whether these speculations are true or not, fans are still on the edge of their seats as they await for more details.

LG is expecting the new phone will sell as much as its predecessor, around 79 million units. The V20 is due to launch in Sept. 6 in the U.S. and Sept. 7 elsewhere in the world.
