After being silent for quite some time, new developments have recently occurred for the Ajin anime series with a home video release as well as release of its 4th official cover poster. Here is what we have gotten so far:
While the TV adaptation of the Ajin anime series is about to end its run on small screens, everyone is excited to jump to Netflix where it will be aired anew. But the biggest update for the franchise now is the progress of the home video release from King Records.
Just recently, a promotional material of what to expect for the home video release of the series was unveiled. A 4th cover poster for it has been released. However, the release for public consumption of Ajin will be delayed as it only arrived to the retailers recently.
The home video release will cover the six-volume show dating back to March 16, and will released on DVD and Blu-ray disk. So how much do you need to save to secure one for yourself?
According to reports, the first five limited edition DVDs can be purchased at 5,800 yen each. But if you want the complete six-volume DVD, then better save 7,700 yen to buy one. ?Meanwhile, the regular editions of Blu-Ray cost 4,800 yen while the complete set is priced at 6,800 yen.
The limited editions for Blu-Ray are worth 6,800 yen (for the five shows) each and up to 8,800 yen for the six-volume set. Each disc contains two episodes while the last one will have three episodes.
It must be noted that Netflix has considered its partnership with Ajin producers as a milestone in anime. ?This deal marks a milestone in how Anime is distributed on a global scale, giving quicker and more efficient access to great Anime titles to Netflix members and fans around the world at the same time. AJIN: Demi-Human is the latest Anime title from Polygon Pictures to premiere exclusively on Netflix outside of Japanese broadcast with Knights of Sidonia premiering last summer to strong fanfare,? as mentioned in a Fandom Post article.
It should be known that the manga series is one of the most followed in Japan ever since it was released in 2012.
