By on

Ubisoft has partnered with indie developer Carbon Games last April to bring its latest real-time strategy game AirMech Arena. The game can now be in your hands as Ubisoft announced that it will be starting its closed beta run starting next week on July 23.

AirMech Arena is now open for registration to all players and it will only take you a minute or two to do so. You can go to their official website to register and they will send you an email regarding the details of the closed beta run.

In the game, you take control of transforming robots and machines as you destroy and conquer your opponents? base. You can play the game?in single player mode, team up with your friends in cooperative multiplayer, or battle it out with up to two to three players in the competitive multiplayer mode. The closed beta will include all three of these modes that will be present in the final product as well.

?If you look at DOTA-style games, most of them just have one map,? James Green, co-founder of Carbon Games, said when asked on what separates AirMech Arena from other games. ?You can play that one map forever and ever and it?ll always be different because of who?s playing and what classes they?re using. We have that same thing with different classes and different players, but now you?ve got different units you can take with you and different maps. We?re not locked into that one map.?
