Deep Silver Volition producer Kate Nelson revealed some information about Agents of Mayhem. She revealed some details about Agents of Mayhem’s gameplay and upcoming DLC. Nelson also confirmed that Johnny Gat and another character will return as playable DLC agents for the title.

As seen in Nelson’s interview with WCCFTech, Agents of Mayhem will have more than 20 hours of gameplay. She explains that Agents of Mayhem will have an open world and that was already seen in the title’s trailers. Agents of Mayhem is set in a futuristic Seoul, South Korea where they must fight the forces of L.E.G.I.O.N to stop their evil plan.

Additionally, Nelson confirmed that they’ve built the characters to be different and uniquely useful to the player. Deep Silver Volition made it sure that players would actually cycle through characters to adapt to the situation. Even though Agents of Mayhem has a playable cast perfect for multiplayer play, Nelson confirmed that they’ve built the title to be a single-player experience.

“We are happy that Agents of Mayhem focused on a single player experience because this format allows us to tell the types of stories and provide the type of experiences we want people to have in this mature nostalgic cartoon throwback. We are always happy to hear thoughts from our fans,” said Nelson during the interview. A co-op mode might be unlikely at launch but it’s good to hear that they’re willing to listen to fans.

Lastly, the two confirmed Agents of Mayhem DLC characters are Lazarus and Johnny Gat. Lazarus could be an original character to the Agents of Mayhem series. Meanwhile, Johnny Gat is a fan favorite Saint’s Row character.

Agents of Mayhem is an open world action game developed by Volition. The game is expected to be released this coming August 15 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
