Adidas has effectively killed its competition with just about every BOOST sneaker release and it doesn?t look like they plan to slow down anytime soon as another new iteration, the Adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged, drops this week.
The Adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged is a foot-hugging model that packs the punch of a Boost cushioned comfort beneath it. The global release date for the sneakers is June 29 and it will retail for $180, erasing earlier rumors of the shoes being priced at $250.
Adidas is back with a brand new slate of its most popular performance sneakers which now features the Primeknit-laden running shoe devoid of an upper ?cage? to achieve the low-profile sock-like feel. Their latest iteration of the Ultra Boost has a design similar to that of ?Nike?s Sock Dart that sees the popular shoes lose their typical plastic shell for a more free fit. They can truly be worn like a sock, and that’s what people have been looking for.
?UltraBOOST Uncaged combines the performance and innovation standard of UltraBOOST with unique flair of our passionately creative fan base,? says Ben Herath, vice president of Design for Adidas Running. ?Adidas is committed to making athletes better through innovation and UltraBOOST Uncaged is another prime example of that pledge being met with the input of runners from around the world.?
The Adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged is designed to deliver an unparalleled running experience, as adidas adapted an internal midfoot skeleton using technology developed for the world?s top track athletes to in turn deliver highly technical support and comfort, according to HighSnobiety. The rebuilt Primeknit upper then provides flexible breathability and natural movement, while the multi-tiered lacing system allows runners to personalize style and fit, while specially-designed flat laces offer enhanced comfort and stability. The new sneakers also boasts of familiar Ultra Boost aspects such as a supportive heel counter, a full-length Boost midsole, and a Stretchweb Continental Rubber outsole.
The outsole lengthens the lifespan of this model indefinitely?meaning you?ll need a new pair of shoes before the sole gives out on you. Three Stripe branding can be found on the medial toe cap of the Adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged. Four colorways of black, gray, pink and red will be available when the incredibly light and breathable kicks hit stores.
