A Review of Some Battery Saving Apps for Androids

Having an android phone is one of the advantages a person can have because of the fact that it never fails to give satisfaction to its owner. You can listen to music, watch videos, take photos, save various files, play games, surf the net all in one device ? you can do everything you like while experiencing a whole new level of delight.

But one of the so called cons of android phones is having their batteries too easy to get drained. Some say that the quick draining of the android?batteries?is caused by the continuous running of the third-party apps. Google and Play Services are just two of those apps that keep on running without the knowledge of the phone’s owner.

I?m also a victim of this fast battery draining issue of androids that’s why I tried to search for different solutions. I looked for several battery saving applications in the PlayStore and luckily, I found some that really helped my battery last a day without charging it again and again.

The first app I tried is “DU Battery Saver.” It is a free battery saving app that says to get phones and tablets up to 50% more of battery life. It also says that it has a smart pre-set battery saving management mode and easy one-touch controls that will extend the life of androids’ batteries. After reading its description, I decided to give this app a chance.

At first, it helped me solve my problem. But after few more weeks, my battery went back to its old routine. It got drained fast. I guess that it is not that effective when it comes to saving battery energies. However, I have observed one thing — it is indeed helpful when it comes to fast ?charging and monitoring my battery usage.

I sought for another related app that will fix my problem and found “Battery Doctor.” Battery Doctor offers four features: Save, Charge, Mode, and Rank. “Save” is where I am able to kill the apps that drain my battery while “Charge” is meant for charging my battery quickly. “Mode” is the feature where I can choose what type of saving method I am going to choose (Your Mode, Airplane Mode or Super Save)?while “Rank” is where I can see all details of my battery consumption.

This app has the option to ?Auto-Kill Apps? which automatically kills ?running apps whenever my screen is off. It also lets me see my charging record for the whole month. Based on my observation, Battery Doctor does a very good job. It really extends the life of my battery.?I can say that it is better than the first one I had.

Another app which I found to be very helpful in saving my battery life is the “Clean Master – Free Optimizer.” Its description says that it is an??application designed to clean junk files, regain free storage, boost memory, enhance speed, and secure your device from malicious apps and vulnerabilities.”?It?is proven to be effective too.

Just like Battery Doctor, it also offers four features: Junk Files, Memory Boost, Security & Privacy, and App Manager. All of these four features have its own tasks ?to do. “Junk Files” is assigned to delete all the files that were left by the running-apps. The “Memory Boost” clears other files to free some phone memory. The “Security & Privacy” is assigned to detect and fix all the unwanted data while the “App Manager” is the one to let me move some of my installed apps ?from internal memory to USB storage.

Though Clean Master is not an app made for battery saving,?it still has the ability to stop the running apps ?which are the major cause of battery draining.
