7 Days To Die

7 Days to Die is an upcoming survival crafting game set in a zombie apocalypse that will be released on consoles this June. As it shares the similar genre from other survival crafting games like Minecraft, Ark: Survival Evolved, Rust and Don?t Starve, those who enjoyed the aforementioned titles may want to take a look at this game. Here?s what we know so far about the upcoming game from Telltale Games and The Fun Pimps.

Scavenging, crafting, building and maintaining your character

Similar to most survival crafting games, you?ll have to build things and feed your character to survive the zombie-infested world of 7 Days to Die. Players will have to build a base and prepare resources or at least grab enough battle supplies to fend off the zombie horde sent to them every seven days. 7 Days To Die characters will also go hungry. This game shares basic concepts with the multiplayer survival titles out there, so players with prior survival crafting knowledge from other games can definitely improve their experience here.

Surviving isn?t easy, like how it should be

According to the 7 Days to Die Reddit, zombies will be tough to take down, so players can?t be a slouch when they?ve just started out in the game. There are special zombies that work differently from the regular ones. Players are expected to deal with this horde of incoming zombies, so they will have to prepare weapons or structural traps. However, surviving this 7th day zombie horde doesn?t end the game easily.

Contrary to the game title?s implication, the game doesn?t end after you survive the seventh day, and this game has systems linked toward the 7th day of the week. Aside from the 7th day zombie horde rush, contracting the zombie infection will kill your character in seven days if left uncured.

The game has split-screen multiplayer

More than a secure and resourceful base, the company of friends in a survival crafting game improves the experience as you?ll have someone to help you in building structures and crafting items. With the split-screen feature on the console, you can easily discuss plans due to the couch co-op setup and find each other on the map easily as you can see the screen of the other player. Additionally, it?s a game that you can play with your friends, and it doesn?t require extensive competitive knowledge to enjoy.

7 Days to Die will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on June 28. The game has been in early access on PC since December 2013.
