Yeah, we know it’s a bit early, but we can’t help but to be stoked about next year’s lineup of game releases.
Want to find out why 2015 is shaping up to be the best year of gaming ever? Here’s why.
Batman: Arkham Knight (2015)
This is a new chapter in Bruce’s life- in fact, the final one according to Rocksteady. The game will take place in Batman’s past, meaning, there are going to be a whole lot of changes.
First in line is the very sleek and speedy Batmobile. It can transform into a goddamn tank! Fuuu!
And second, developers have made an original villain for the Batman’s trilogy-ender, the Arkham Knight. His identity and motivations are yet to be known. One thing is for sure. He will be joining Scarecrow, Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face in the game. There will be more to see before Batman: Arkham Knight’s full release, so be sure to stay updated.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (February 24, 2015)
The Witcher series moves into a completely open world where anything can happen. Geralt of Rivia, the amnesiac Witcher is on a journey to redeem his lost memories that will lead him to seek the Wild Hunt.
As a Witcher, you use mind tricks in townsfolk to gain certain information about quests, force push an enemy to the ground and swing a sword like there’s no?tomorrow. Aside from beheading dangerous monsters with your sword for money, the fate of the local populace will be given to you.
Villages may rise or fall because it will ultimately depend on your actions.
Dying Light (February 2015)
“Dead Island 2 and Dead Rising 3” not enough zombies for you? Then you better watch out for Dying Light’s release this coming February. The game features a world overrun by the undead and people fighting them–and against each other just to survive. I think I’ve heard that line before? From AMC’s The Walking Dead?
Anywaay.. If you explore the huge open world enough, more side quests will pop up. Oh, and the virus that turned people into monsters they are now? You’re totally infected too, as the plague could be airborne.
That’s it…. that is totally TWDish like.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (2015)
In Big Boss’ continuing saga, Hideo Kojima says he is done with the tough guy, and here comes yet another Metal Gear game. MGS 5 is the first open-world game to sport Kojima’s epic tale, but it is more than just that. Snake has been modified in a totally different world.
The open-world of Phantom Pain settings means Snake will spend much of his time riding horses and driving vehicles. Snake has just woken up from a coma for nine years–with a cybernetic arm. Wait, what?
The game will have new mechanics and also, new abilities for Snake that will surely spice up Phantom Pain.
Halo 5: Guardians (2015)
The saga of Master Chief is not quite over, but how his story goes on is still a bit high up in the air. In fact, developers of 343 Industries released a piece of artwork that shows a Spartan who is NOT Master Chief. What does it mean? We don’t know for sure. But what we do know is he is definitely a character in Halo 5 to watch out for. The game will also run on a new engine.
There are heaps more of great games that will be released next year and it’s turning up to be a brutal one for gamer’s wallets.
