The rumored iPhone 7 will be a dust resistant and waterproof phone with AMOLED display according to the latest information we got.
According to NeuroGadget rumors regarding the display of iPhone 7 that suggest that Apple will switch over from LCD to OLED displays for its new phone. These rumors however have been denied by Ming Chi-Kuo of KGI Securities who is known for accuracy of reports. The rumors also seem to suggest that new iPhone 7 will be far more slim and thin than the current iPhone 6s series and be approximately between 6.0mm and 6.5mm. Another significant development is the iPhone 7 will first waterproof Apple device which is pretty impressive feature kind of in line with Sony Z series android phones. The next gen iPhone 7 will have a strengthened frame to resist both dust and water. Another possible feature includes iPhone 7 supporting a 16MP camera.
According to the Mac Rumors the new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be driven by Apple A10 chipsets produced by TSMC. Also the RAM of the new iPhone will be upgraded with iPhone 7 to feature 2GB of RAM and iPhone 7 Plus to feature 3GB of RAM. Apple has ordered LCD display drivers from Synaptics for its next generation iPhones which suggests the display driver integration (TDI) chips will not be included. TDI chips will allow integrated display and Touch ID doing away with the home screen button in the iPhones.
Apple unveiled its new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus back in September and its sales touched a whole new high with 13 million units of new series sold against 10 million units of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 2014. The new series have a stronger build with bend proof 7000 Series aluminum enclosure says Techly. The phone features Apple A9 chipset with 2GB RAM and iOS 9 operating system. The display sizes come in 4.7 inch 720p and 5.5 inch 1080p with 3D touch technology. Also included is 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will probably released in end of 2016. Also speculated is the release of iPhone 6C which will hit stores in the first quarter of 2016.
