Xiaomi could soon launch an updated Mi 5c in the first half of December. Recent reports indicate that the company could release the device with the Xiaomi moniker.
Although, the company has yet to release an official statement regarding the forthcoming handset, reports claim that the device would be released on December 6. However, some reports claim the device would be released on December 12. If any of these reports turn out to be true, we will get to see it in the first half of December.
The device is rumored to have a 5.5-inch bezel-less display almost similar to recently revealed Mi Mix. It is reported that the device will feature a 2.5D glass display with full HD display at 401ppi. It could have a 12MP main and 8MP selfie shooter.
The device could have a 2.2GHz Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and Mali T860 Graphics Unit. Meanwhile, it is also speculated the device would run on the company’s Pine Cone processor. The forthcoming variant could have a 64GB native storage.
It is expected to run Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8 out of the box. The company is reportedly working on the latest Nougat Update. The company will most probably release the update later.
The new variant of Mi 5 series will be available in rose gold, gold and black colors. Unfortunately, the company will not release it in white. This will be the cheapest handset in the Mi 5 series. Recent reports suggest that the smartphone will cost CNY 1,499 ($217.59).
However, these are merely rumors until Xiaomi itself releases any statement regarding the device. TheBitBag team will update the information as soon as more details about the forthcoming handset.
