The Future Stars Pack is the next piece of WWE 2K17 DLC fans will be getting. While there were numerous hints, including a few leaked moves, 2K Games made it official with an update. Fans that downloaded the 1.05 patch update noticed that it added support to the aforementioned DLC pack.
Of course, this is a WWE game, so there were also a ton of fixes made in the recent update. Issues like tag partners breaking up a tag finisher or created wrestlers not holding belts have been fixed. This is great news for fans of the pro wrestling simulator and they can look at the list in 2K’s official forums.
Future Stars Pack
As most fans know, the Future Stars Pack adds five new superstars in the game. Those five are:
- Austin Aries
- Karl Anderson
- Luke Gallows
- Mojo Rawley
- Tye Dillinger
Most of these stars are loved or hated by the fans, but they definitely have a future, at least as WWE 2K17 DLC characters. Out of the five, four of these superstars have yet to appear in a WWE game, so they will all feel fresh to players. Luke Gallows previously appeared as Festus in Smackdown vs Raw 2009 and 2010, before using his real name and aligning himself with CM Punk in the 2011 iteration.
One More Left
After the Future Stars Pack, there will only be one more piece of WWE 2K17 DLC left: the Hall of Fame Showcase. Considering the lack of Showcase mode this year, fans will likely be pleased with this bit of DLC, even if its story is incoherent. This is assuming that it will be similar to last year’s Hall of Fame showcase.
The Hall of Fame Showcase will have plenty of new characters joining the game, along with new attires for legends already in the game. Both this and the Future Stars Pack will also have new moves that players can give to their created character.
WWE 2K17 is available now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Players can get most of the DLC by purchasing the US$29.99 season pass. Sadly, the NXT and Goldberg packs have to be purchased separately. ?
