The Game Awards 2016 is happening in the next hour. And any gamer is excited for their game to be crowned Game of the Year. Last year, the coveted award went to Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt and for good reasons. This year, odds are, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End could be facing the same fate.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the continuing story of Nathan Drake’s adventure, was released earlier this year. The game was highly anticipated by many of it fans as it is the conclusion of the entire story of Nathan Drake.
It continues where the third instalment left off, his retirement from treasure hunting. In the game, he reunites with his brother and his life long business partner, Scully. Sam, Nathan’s brother, needed help in finding the lost treasure of Captain Henry Avery’s ship.
The game was released last May 2016 and was widely received by the gaming community. It garnered various gaming awards and accolades from critics and game reviewers. That being said, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End could be going home with the Game of the Year Award by the end of the night.
The Game Awards will be hosted by none other than Geoff Keighley, a gamer by heart. The show will in the next hour and can be seen from its own webiste or here at TheBitbag.
Another interesting fact about the show is the supposed announcement form game maker Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software. For those who do not know Pitchford, he is the lead developer and CEO Gearbox Software, the same studio that made the famous Borderlands series.
On his Twitter page, Pitchford said that he has a very big announcement at the Game Awards. For a long time, fans of the Borderlands series have been expecting the release of the newest instalment, Borderlands 3. Is Pitchford really unveiling the much awaited game from Gearbox Software?
