Tom Cruise The Mummy Trailer: The Mummy Awakens To Terrorize the World

Katie Holmes, Jamie Fox Wedding: Tom Cruise Indifferent?

A short but sweet teaser of this classic action movie franchise came out Thursday. There’s not much to be seen really in the Tom Cruise The Mummy trailer, but Universal Pictures is expected to release a longer trailer this weekend.

Tom Cruise The Mummy Trailer

The short teaser trailer has shown a weird-eyed mummy. It is played by actress Sofia Boutella. This sneak peek of The Mummy reboot also treats fans with the first glimpse of Nick Morton, who is the film’s lead character. It’s also the role played by Cruise.

In the trailer, we see the mummy being removed from an underground crypt somewhere in the desert. It will be interesting to see how the creature will terrorize the world.

Cruise’s character is then seen swimming in an underwater tomb and running in what appears to be a museum. The Mummy reboot trailer ended with a sight of the mummy extending her hands. Buildings are falling apart behind her and she was screaming.

Cruise took to Twitter to express his excitement for the The Mummy reboot trailer. The actor said he cannot wait to bring the mummy to life. He also assured fans that the full trailer for The Mummy reboot will be coming out on Sunday.

The Mummy Plot

Based on the plot summary, the mummy awakens in the current day, “bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.” The mummy is said to be an ancient princess.

Aside from Cruise and Boutella, The Mummy reboot also stars Russell Crowe, Courtney B. Vance, Annabelle Wallis and Jake Johnson. It is under the direction of Alex Kurtzman.

The Mummy is slated to hit the big screens on June 9, 2017. Stay tuned only here at TheBitbag for more news and updates regarding The Mummy reboot. Meanwhile, check out the short Tom Cruise The Mummy trailer below.
