Tekken 6 Three Weeks Later
As someone who has played Tekken 6 more hours than he’s slept since it’s release date, I can more than point out all that’s wrong with the game. The biggest being the lag. I have played ranked matches that have literally been in slow motion from start to finish. Until one has mastered precision button presses and really gotten used to the lag they have very little chance of winning. I’ve even played some player matches where my opponents’ only goal is to practice a specific move to learn lag timing. It’s disappointing when a really good match is reduced to doing whatever it takes to win because of lag. Characters with guaranteed juggles off of a low attack have such a distinct advantage online due to lag and the properties and priority of their moves. Bryan’s guaranteed off of df+3 can get really annoying at times and people spamming Kazuya’s triple spin kicks isn’t any better. It’s because of this that learning to low parry is mandatory. Low parrying isn’t going to amount to anything without the right follow up. It still amazes me how a game can be a lot fun offline and quite frustrating at times once you take it online. Until the patch is released I suggest hosting some player matches and inviting friends with really good connections.

No Splinter Cell Conviction Demo With Assassin’s Creed 2
Basically, the title says it all. I went down to my Gamestop tonight to pick up Assassin’s Creed 2 at midnight. I came home popped it open and saw a slip saying “Free Exclusive Offer” for Splinter Cell: Conviction. I assumed that this was the demo HipHopGamer was talking about earlier this week. Well, it isn’t. You go to a website, sign up for some stuff, and all you get are ringtones/a wallpaper. Don’t expect something like what we saw back in the day with Zone of the Enders and the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. Remember those days? When developers gave you something really cool like a demo. Anyway, you can’t blame Ubisoft because they never officially came out and said it. We’ll just have to wait till 2010 to get our Sam Fisher fix. On the bright note, so far so good from what I’ve played of Assassin’s Creed 2
I’ll even give you the code because it is a single code that works for everyone, so if you want the ringtones and wallpapers:
Go to: www.splintercell.com/ac2
Code: CONV1C71ON

MattG GTA IV: Ballad of Gay Tony Review
When Grand Theft Auto IV was released back in Spring 2008, the game was a critical success getting one of the highest scores in Metacritic history with a 98. Game reviewers praised it’s story, the amount of detail put into making the world seem real, and the advancement in gameplay/graphics from the last gen versions. While this is all true, many fans of the game we’re disappointed in the game, saying that goofing around wasn’t as fun, that it got old after a while, and that overall the game wasn’t as exciting as past versions. The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar’s last piece of exclusive DLC for the Xbox 360, hopes to change that by adding a ton of new features and mission types to the world of GTA IV, but does this new adventure in Liberty City give the fans what they want….

Modern Warfare 2 Review
Modern Warfare 2. Need I say more? This game is huge, and the gaming world is captivated by the hype that has surrounded it. Midnight releases all around the country, multi-million dollar marketing campaigns, and seven million copies sold in less than a week. This game has taken the gaming community and brought it to it’s knees. Game have been delayed because of it, and right now chances are your friends list is filled with people playing it. The question is though if the game lives up to the hype….

Final Fantasy XIII Coming To US/EU on March 9th
Square Enix said they were going to have big news today, and I guess this is it. While it’s nice to get a release date, I didn’t know announcing when your game was going to come out would be “huge news”. Either way I’m excited for the game and it’s about time. Other news was that English singer Leona Lewis will be putting the down vocals for the theme song. There you go Final Fantasy fans, a March 9th, 2010 release date and Leona Lewis. What more could we ask for?
