Expect to see a Mass Effect Andromeda update 1.04 on your system once you put the CD in. The game’s numerous animation glitches have been subject of controversy recently and Bioware knows this, hence the day one update. While it won’t fix every problem fans might see during their first playthrough, it will make the game more playable.
Players that have experienced the trial version of the game know that there are a ton of issues to fix. Currently, the character creation needs plenty of fixing, since it makes the female Ryder twin look hideous. A number of issues have already been fixed, but it seems like the major fixes will be in update 1.04.
Patching Things Up
On Twitter, Producer Fernando Melo stated that Mass Effect Andromeda update 1.04 will fix a number of issues. Sound issues in multiplayer have seemingly been fixed and players won’t have to worry about seeing a black screen when playing. Challenge issues have also been patched, so they can now be completed, unlike before, which probably angered a lot of gamers.
The patch itself is a whopping 2 GB, which is a bit heavy for some, though there have been bigger day one patches. Digital buyers that pre-loaded the game have nothing to worry about, while those that plan on buying it in retail will have to download this. Expect more fixes to come, since there have been many complaints regarding the game’s various issues, including it’s visuals.
Bioware previously confirmed that the early access trial was running on the game’s day one patch. However, if the patch isn’t installed, the default face for the female Ryder twin would actually look better, Gearnuke reported. With Bioware recently rolling out a new patch for the game, here is hoping that players who use the female Ryder won’t be stuck looking at the odd looking face of the trial version.
Despite all of the complaints and various flaws, there is plenty to look forward to in the game. Many have stated that it feels like the first Mass Effect game, which is high praise for those that love Bioware. The game world will also be quite big, so there will be plenty of exploration and side quests that players can take part in.
Mass Effect Andromeda comes out tomorrow on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Here is hoping all of these improvements make the game better than it currently is. Otherwise, we will see more joke videos regarding the odd facial animations.
