X3Max news page has been updated–showing off a couple of new images. The first image, “OH, X3 BAD” and the second showing hexadecimal values. Does this mean that Team X3 is soon to release the PS3 firmware v3.50/v3.55 jailbreak? Perhaps. But we’ll have to wait and see.
As they say, it’s better to be late than never. Team X3 has finally released a firmware v3.50 downgrader for their X3Max USB product. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know what’s the deal with this PS3 firmware v3.50 downgrader. Click on “Read more” for more info and download.

Here’s a quick update regarding Team X3 and the Master Key. They confirmed that they actually do have the PS3′s console Master Key but are seeking for ways to protect it prior to releasing it to the public. We can only imagine what Sony is thinking right now.

Earlier, we reported that Team X3 has decided to delay the release of the firmware v3.50 jailbreak. Since then, there has been some new information as to what has been going on at team X3′s lab. According to Logic-Sunrise, team X3 is in possession of the PS3’s system Master Key; not the USB Master Key released days ago by developer Mathieulh. As you may or may not already know, the PS3’s system master key can give developers, as well as jailbreakers complete access to the PS3′s entire system. Below is a rough translation of the news.
“After many setbacks, and still nothing concrete, Team Unveils X3 listing is: we have the masterkey for the PS3. Mathieulh Masterkey had earlier unveiled the PS3′s USB, but Masterkey console would be in the hands of the creators of X3max. Get the Masterkey the PS3 would result from the full opening of the console, be it for firmware 3.50, firmware for the future.That would explain so many things: Why they are slow to jailbreak their 3.50 releaser, and why the team is as confident as could be shown in their news today on the official website of the team. Looking for the firmware v3.50 jailbreak from team X3? Well, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. According to the team, they want to take necessary precautions prior to releasing the firmware v3.50 jailbreak–to avoid the cloning of their jailbreak method.
