[Tutorial] How to transfer data from 3.65 PS3 to 3.55

by KingX - on Jun 19th 2011 - 3 Comments

First off, thanks to Skatekid for the tutorial and XDev for the video proof.  In this tutorial, you basically need two PS3s.  This is useful for those who need to get dlc map pack accounts or so on their 3.55 cfw.  This does not work for REBUG 3.55.  It has to be one of the other 3.55 cfws out there.  And this will work for 3.61 to 3.55 as well.

Tutorial:

First off the Regular PS3 needs to be on 3.65 Firmware.
Your Second PS3 needs to Be on a 3.55 CFW “Not Rebug”

Next You will need to download the 3.65 spoofer. Lost redirect

UNOFFICIAL Rebug 3.55.1 Rebug update package 0.1 & privacy patch

by KingX - on Jun 19th 2011 - No Comments

Thanks to wmxp over at psx-scene who has released this privacy patch for Rebug 3.55.1. It is of course unofficial since it is not made by the Rebug team. This is a modified PUP with both the official update 0.1 and the official Rebug privacy patch applied, and a created DIFF patch for the public. It is a patch only and requires the original Rebug 3.55.1 PUP file. The patch has been tested successfully on two PS3s (one phat/one slim) without issues. The privacy patch scans and edits all the PS3′s system files looking for any reference to a Sony and/or affiliate domain, and replaces it with “aaaaaaaaaaa” leaving the extension intact.

Post by wmxp:

I’m not too fond of the giant enemy crab spying on me, and I wanted the official privacy patch applied again after the 0.1 update had been done. I created a modified PUP with both the official Update 0.1 and official Rebug Privacy patch applied, and created a DIFF patch for the public attached here.

Team SOS releases Homebrew Stealthing Utility v1.3.5

by KingX - on Apr 3rd 2011 - No Comments

Thanks to blazie151, who has informed us that Team SOS has released a very awesome tool called Homebrew Stealthing Utility v1.3.5. This will allow you to stealth a homebrew application or game as any PSN demo or full game. It will allow you to have the option to choose what you want to stealth the homebrew as. This will usually appear as game sharing. For double protection, you can try downloading the demo first and it’ll be added to your purchase history. The current features of this tool includes the support of all pkg files, grabs the game IDs and homebrew names automatically, works on virtual machines, and much more.

Features:

-Stealthed pkg file works on all firmware versions (3.15, 3.41, 3.55) including GH 3.55
-Supports all pkg files
-Supports run time arguments so you can open this program with a file or even automate it
-Grabs the GameIDs and homebrew names automatically
-Creates the -conf files automatically
-Creates the stealth pkg automatically
-Adds an additional user specified file if selected
-Can sign the file automatically if selected (3.55GH mainly)
-Pause checkbox allows manual modification of files before pkg’ing
-Works on Virtual Machines, runs with .net 3.5

Known Issues:

-Some virus protection programs don’t like it. This is because it creates all dependency files during run time, and some virus protection programs don’t like exe files appearing from thin air. If this happens to you, please add the dir this utility is stored in to your excluded list in your virus scanner.

Future Features:

-Automatic modification of ini files (like the ones in MultiMan)
-Automatically change MultiMan’s log cleaning setting

3.60 Version Spoofer v1.1 released by team Rebug

by Rith - on Mar 10th 2011 - 1 Comment

It didn’t take long for the Rebug team to respond to the release of firmware v3.60 for the PS3. Early this morning, they released 3.60 Version Spoofer v1.1, which restores online/PSN access on firmware v3.55. As you may already know, with any new firmware release, you need to run it on your PS3 console in order to restore access privileges to the PlayStation Network–Sony’s way of forcing it down your throat.

Thanks to our forum member Flym4n for posting this!

3.60 Version Spoofer is working for now. This allows PSN access but DOES NOT use the PS3ITA CFW patch. NO new CFW, F@ckPSN or PC needed.. Once the PS3 is spoofed it will stay spoofed until it is uninstalled.

Instructions:

 • Press CROSS to INSTALL 3.60 Version Spoof (the status will change after 15 – 45 seconds telling you to reboot)
 • Press CIRCLE to UNINSTALL 3.60 Version Spoof (the status will change after 15 – 45 seconds telling you to reboot)

[TUTORIAL] Kmeaw's custom firmware v3.55 spoofed to v3.56 with PSN v3.56 spoof. Get back onto PSN

by Rith - on Feb 23rd 2011 - 3 Comments

Kmeaw355Spoofedto356_PSN356Spoof

With the recent banhammer coming from Sony, many jailbreaked PS3 owners are now afraid of logging onto the PlayStation Network (PSN). But it looks like you can put that fear aside (at least for now) and jump right onto PSN after you have followed this tutorial. According to ARVI, a forum member of psx-scene, he has found a way to trick the PSN server into thinking that a PS3 console running Kmeaw’s custom firmware v3.55 is a legitimate console running on official PS3 firmware v3.56.

ARVI:

PS3 Spoofed to 3.56 using LV2 Patcher with Multiman + PSN 3.56 Spoofed

Works perfect on KMEAW 3.55 (Only tested on Kmeaw 3.55)

* lv2 Patcher needed until 3.56 spoof is supported in the game managers.
* PSN Enabled with F*CK PSN.

I now have a PS3 CFW 3.55 that reports the system info to be a 3.56, with working PSN that also reports to be 3.56 when accessing the servers. The system logs should hopefully now show a legit 3.56 user when accessing PSN and also when system checks are made.

Team Rebug releases 3.56 Version Spoofer

by Rith - on Feb 21st 2011 - 1 Comment

The Rebug team is on a roll. Another release for the today–a 3.56 version spoofer which tricks any PS3 running custom firmware v3.55 into thinking that it has firmware v3.56 installed. This will not allow you to gain access to the PlayStation Network (PSN)–just stops your PS3 from updating to firmware v3.56.

From the PDF file:

***** THIS DOES NOT ALLOW PSN ACCESS *****

***** FOR 3.55 ONLY **** FOR 3.55 ONLY *****

3.56 Version Spoofer does exactly what it says and can restore back to 3.55 if needed. It was never intended to allow PSN access but to stop the system from updating to 3.56(I made it shortly after KaKaRoToKS had his false alarm).

Once the PS3 is spoofed it will stay spoofed until it is uninstalled.

Press CROSS to INSTALL 3.56 Version Spoof (the status will change after 15 – 45 seconds telling you to reboot)

Press CIRCLE to UNINSTALL 3.56 Version Spoof (the status will change after 15 – 45 seconds telling you to reboot)

…Enjoy

E3 Card Reader PS3 firmware v3.55 spoof

by Rith - on Dec 23rd 2010 - No Comments

Here’s an E3 Card Reader firmware that you can use to spoof your PS3′s firmware to v3.55, as well as jailbreak your PS3 (running firmware v3.41). As with all current v3.55 spoofing, it will block your PS3 from prompting for an update to firmware v3.55. Also, this E3 Card Reader firmware will simplify free psgroove usage (I’m not sure what that means).
