A while back ago we reported that Rogero had released his MFW for 3.70 downgraded consoles. Today he brings us an update. The previous released was put together using PS3MFW Builder and OFW v3.55. This new update was put together using Kmeaw and the fail0verfl0w methods. Rogero has also announced that Rogero Manager v8.5, that is designed specifically for Rogero CFW v2, will be coming soon.

This is a better optimized version of the previous MFW released, This one is a Custom firmware built manually by patching and packing the files and the final PUP package using the well known “fail0verfl0w ” public set of tools and having “Kmeaw” as the base firmware unlike it’s previous version which was a Modified firmware built using the famous MFW builder application and using an OFW3.55 as the base firmware.

The well-known developer Rogero has released a modified firmware (MFW) for those that have been using the Progskeet to downgrade their PS3 systems. While downgrading his PS3, he ran into a problem. Tutorials floating around the Internet seem to not warn the user of this problem. If you are downgrading your PS3, do not update using the usual Modified Firmwares unless the firmware has the LV1.self patched to disable all checks. Anything else will result in a bricked PS3.

After fixing the PS3 and successfully downgrading his PS3, the dev ran into the usual Trophy problem. Thus, he has prepared a modified firmware. Rogero shares with all those who have successfully downgraded their PS3 this modified firmware with v3.70 spoof, Privacy Patch, and LV1.self checks disabled.

Last night I had the chance to try and downgrade a Slim Ps3 (JSD-001 board with Spansion NOR) version 3.70 to CFW 3.55 using Dospiedra’s downgrade v2 patches.

I managed to get a clean dump of the NOR using my ProgSkeet (latest QT port used), created a patched Downgrade.bin image
using the 6 patched files from Dospiedra and a hex editor, then I flashed the image to the PS3 NOR, dumped the NOR another
time and verified that all was written fine.

The latest version of the Rogero Manager has arrived. Version 8.4 comes with even more CFW support. Along with this update, there has been an added option to enable or disable the smart scan from the settings menu, added option to refresh games list, added support for MFW builder 3.66 spoof plug in, and more. Rogero Manager v8.4 is not compatible with Rebug 3.41.2 or 3.66 version spoofer 2.0 3.41. Also refer to our Backup Manager Themes in our forums if you would like to download some themes for the Rogero Manager.

It has been quite awhile now since we have heard of anything about the Rogero Manager. Well today Rogero has finally updated his Rogero Manager to version 8.3. This latest version comes with a lot of new features. There is now added support for two connected USB drives with Game List Filtering, proper spoof detection for any CFW version, added the option to restart the manager, and much more. The latest version of Rogero Manager is finally here. This latest update will put Rogero Manager at version 8.2. With this new version, there is a games list filtering with L2+R2+L1 to show HDD games, USB games, or all games (works with only one external HDD attached at a time). Rogero has updated his manager to v8.1.  This new version comes with a lot of updates.  It supports two built in payloads which allows the user to change between Sysc36 and PL3 from the Settings Menu.  The manager is updated to have the Payload detection support all known paylods for 3.41 and 3.55.  There is also the new feature of the USB Mount.  This enables the loading of known “Black Screen Games” from external USB drive.  There is also many more updates.  View the changelog to check out these new updates.

Developer Rogero has released the next version to his backup manager. This release includes compatibility fix for the integrated LV2 Patcher, memory management at startup optimization, and the removal of LV2 Patcher startup notification screen.

Rogero Manager v7.9b is now released!  Rogero Manager is being updated at a fast pace with several major updates and fixes.  The most important thing about this release is the implementation of the newest version LV2 patcher.  Rogero has decided to use Kmeaw’s V5 version by compiling the package from Kmeaw’s LV2 patcher github to his manager.  His updates are up to the date of 1/22/2011.  Click to read more in our forum.

A few days ago, Rogero Manager v7.8 was released in order to play PS3 backup games right from the PS3′s internal harddrive using Waninkoko’s custom firmware v3.55. For those who were fortunate enough to install Waninkoko’s custom firmware v3.55 without bricking their PS3, here’s a backup manager that you can use to run PS3 game backups right from the PS3′s hard drive. This backup manager is called Rogero Manager, which is based off Open Manager. Enjoy.
