[Releases] FCEU, Genesis Plus GX, & Snes9X — minor updates

For the last couple of weeks, all that we’ve been seeing and hearing is PSN this and PSN that. But what about homebrew releases? Well, here it is–three for the price of one–NES, SNES, and Genesis emulators.

FCEU (NES emulator) v1.4 build b16b1f:
Changelog:

Redesigned settings menu
Added palette selection option
Added 4xSoft-variation-1 shader
Default CRT 1920×1080 4x fullspeed now (with new mode PPU)

Snes9X v4.4.9 build 3b364d:

FCEU v1.4 (NES Emulator) released

The NES Emulator, FCEU-PS3, has been updated to v1.4. It is possible that squarepusher is responsible for this (Thanks!). Along with this new version comes the Game Genie support! For those of you who have been or been wanting to try out this emulator, give it a try and download the latest version 1.4 below.

Changelog for release 2:

Adds saving & loading.
You can now exit to the XMB without having to restart your PS3.
Adds fast forward (R2 Trigger).

FCEU v1.3 Released (NES Emulator)

This is an NES emulator–second NES emulator to be released on the PS3.

Include are two pkg files. One for running on firmware 3.41, and the other for firmware 1.92

CURRENTLY IMPLEMENTED FCEU FUNCTIONS:
- .zip support
- SRAM support
- State save
- 4P Support
- Settings save and load
- Shader support (Cg format)
- Not all shaders run full speed at 1080p.
- Try lower the resolution for shaders which run slow.
- Aspect ratio makes a difference as well.
