Once again Squarepusher2 has updated his FCEU and Genesis Plus GX emulator for PS3.  The FCEU emulator allows you to play old NES games.  As a reminder, this emulator can switch between 480p, 720p, and 1080p.  Also you can change the display between 4:3 or 16:10.  It offers hardware filters and supports up to 4 players.  You can also use any USB controller.  As for the Genesis Plus GX, it is actually a port based on the Gensis Plus GX EkeEke (Wii version).  These are just minor updates to the emulators, so feel free to download them if you like.

Here is some minor updates to the SNES9x and Genesis emulator by squarepusher2. The only really new thing about these new packages are the added CRT-calligari.cg shader. Other than that, these have also been implemented into multiMAN. Thus if you are using multiMAN, you might want to update to the latest version or find the download in our forums.

Here’s another emulator pushed out by developer squarepusher2–it’s an update to the Genesis Plus GX PS3 emulator. This release includes support for outputting audio through a USB or Bluetooth headset, custom soundtrack selection from XMB music category, a couple of game fixes, and a fix for co-op (two-players) mode–just to name a few.

Changelog for v1.3:

• Custom Soundtrack support – select a song/album/playlist from the XMB Music category – Music can be played both in-game and from within the menu.
• Added USB/Bluetooth headset support – sound gets output through the headset.
• Added ‘Custom Scaling / Dual Shader’ options from SNES9x PS3 – all the same features as SNES9x PS3 now – shader presets, custom scaling, dual shaders, triple buffering, etc, throttle mode.

Another fine release by an anonymous developer–GenesisPlus GX v1.1.This release includes the support of Action Replay codes, as well as the ability to make changes to file paths via the use of GenesisConf.ini file. Click on “Read more” for detail and download.

How-to use:
1) Put all folders so that the following folders, ./genplus, ./genplus/roms, ./genplus/bios, ./genplus/state, and ./genplus/sram are on root of your USB flash drive.

2) Insert your USB flash drive into the first USB port, from the right (closest to the PS3′s eject button).

To use the Save State at any time:

• Press L3 to save your State
• Press R3 to Load your state

Genesis General Button:

• A = SQUARE
• B = CROSS
• C = CIRCLE
• X = TRIANGLE
• Y = L1
• Z = R1
• START = START
• MODE = SELECT

If you want change the setting:
Inside the ROMs menu, you can go to setting with CIRCLE.

• Action Replay v1.0 cartridge support can be enabled inside the setting.
• Action Replay v1.0 for Genesis or Megadrive need to be renamed to areplay.bin and must be placed inside “/cart” folder example “/dev_hdd0/game/GENP00001/cart”.

You don’t have to create any folder as Genesis Plus can do the job for you. You just need to setup all paths inside Genesisconf.ini and run again the emulator. When Genesis Plus creates all the folders for you, just use your favorite file manager or FTP homebrew app to transfer all your ROMs or BIOS (optional) to “/dev_hdd0/game/GENP00001″.
