You knew it would happen. DUPLEX putting the people who paid for these games back in power. FYI, sony… had you not time bombed the DRM, there would be NO reason other than piracy for this. Instead, much is timebombed without a connection to PSN periodically. Something to think about… know how you have physical media for your 2600/NES/SNES/N64/PS1/PS2??? What happens when the PS8 is out and the PS3 can no longer connect to PSN to “update” your license? You guessed it as thing stand currently— you likely lose some of it.
That’s a very good question CrashSerious. I wonder that too. I have Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which will not work if I’m not connected to Xbox Live (Silver or Gold). I paid about $10 for it. Is that fair?
I haven’t played MVC2 on 360 and hadn’t heard that about it… but, yes. That would be a concern too if what you say is true. As consumers, we’ve got to stand up for our rights– even if that means we don’t get the latest greatest game.
Yeah, it’s crazy. The MvC2 version I purchased off PSN works fine without any Internet connection. This was about a year or so ago.
