According to the source (roughly translated), there are integrated sockets on the “two side plates” that are to be used by the Infectus modchip–for this dual-NAND to work.

In case you haven’t been following, the success of dual-NAND means the possibility of being able to boot a custom firmware and an original firmware from a single PS3 console. It’s important to note that the Infectus modchip does have a proven track record, when it comes to downgrading PS3 consoles.
