Respected PS3 homebrew developer, graf_chokolo has told everyone at grafchokolo.com that he is probably going to jail after all as he won’t able to pay the legal costs involved in his battle with SONY. Before this, he has been sued and raided by SONY for publishing the security architecture of the PS3 as well as his work on bringing back the OtherOS.
Hi guys, no money left anymore. Going to jail soon probably because i cannot pay court costs.
But i’m ready to stand up for everything i said and go to jail for that too. It’s not important to win, more important is to show them that we are ready to fight, that they cannot scare me off easily. Yeah, i’m ready to go to jail for my believes and my principles.

This is utter bullshit. The government complain jails are over capacity, and then they throw innocent people like this in there. Maybe because he dont pay of legislators like the big fishes probably do. Note to European and UK lawmakers, go after REAL criminals.

The reason why he has possible jailtime is because he violated the TRO or whatever. He had a document telling him to stop releasing code and everything else during the first raid but he continued to do it. Or maybe it was before the first raid. That is why it has become a criminal case, he violated the judge’s orders. Now I’m not saying I agree with this, I’m actually pretty fucking disgusted. But I wanted to let people know why it was turned into a criminal case!
