Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata revealed in an interview a “character creation” system that they’re working on. This system is currently in its early stages and could be used for the game’s upcoming multiplayer mode DLC. Here’s what we know so far about the potential Final Fantasy 15 Comrades multiplayer DLC feature.
Character Creator System
In DualShockers’ interview with Tabata, the Final Fantasy 15 director revealed that they’re working on the game’s character creator feature. Tabata revealed only a few details about the feature but confirmed that they’re working on it right now. This feature will also be tied to the game’s multiplayer feature so players can make new characters and introduce it in the mode. Currently, the confirmed Character Creation customization tickers are the character’s height, face size, and amount of muscle.
Aside from the character creation mode intended for multiplayer, Tabata also talked about the game’s multiplayer mode. The director confirmed that the upcoming DLC will be a four player co-op multiplayer game mode. Potentially, players can add their created characters in the Final Fantasy 15 Comrades DLC instead of playing the usual cast.
The interview has confirmed that players can add created characters in the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 Comrades DLC. The co-op multiplayer game mode may be a standalone story that can exist without the main cast. Few interesting settings within the Final Fantasy 15 world can allow this feature to fit in. Potentially, the multiplayer co-op mode can be set during the prime of the Kingsglaive organization, before the mutiny and attack of Niflheim forces against Insomnia.
Alternatively, the co-op characters may be part of the Hunters organization which specialize on taking down the game’s dangerous wildlife and daemons alike. Later in the game, they became an informal force to defend the human survivors of the daemon attacks on settlements during the disappearance of Noctis in the story. Regardless of the co-op mode’s setting, players will surely enjoy a slightly different Final Fantasy 15 experience since their characters might not have the powers exclusive to royalty.
