Elder Scrolls 6 news and updates are scarce these days, but Bethesda keeps revealing interesting facts about their games. The success of Fallout Shelter has led the developer to dive into the world of mobile gaming. Now it’s been confirmed that Bethesda is working on another mobile game and they will continue bringing more. The confirmation comes from the studio’s director and executive producer Todd Howard.
Developers at Bethesda said they can spend their entire life in building Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls games. Or at least Howard can. The release of Elder Scrolls 6 is now a highly anticipated one, but the studio is currently focusing on a mobile game.
During an interview with Glixel, Howard said, “We have some other mobile games that we’re starting to look at. We can try some things that we usually wouldn’t do with the larger games.” When he was asked about whether the studio will continue to develop mobile games like Fallout Shelter, he said, “We definitely do, yes.”
Bethesda is one of the most innovative game developers of the current generation. The studio doesn’t stick to the usual platforms and dares to explore the opportunities on others as well, for example Nintendo Switch. Now, when it comes to mobile gaming, the growth the company has seen with Fallout Shelter is exceptional. So now when we are eagerly waiting for Elder Scrolls 6 release, we can also expect some new mobile games from the studio. Well, Bethesda has not revealed any specific details on what IPs they are planning to work on for their mobile games.
Mobile gaming can rack-in a lot of money, if developers can do it right. With Fallout Shelter being a huge success for Bethesda, it’s possible we will also see an Elder Scrolls mobile game.
