I know it sounds crazy, but here’s my reasoning.

1. Ubisoft held a press conference and didn’t show ANY in game footage, only a trailer. How do you not show any gameplay of one of your flagship titles at your OWN conference?

2. The first gameplay footage was shown at the Sony conference and there was not one clip shown at Microsoft’s conference.

3. The PSP version of the game works together with the PS3 version.

4. All the posters for Assassin’s Creed II have no system info on them. No Xbox or PS3 logos. Their other game, Splinter Cell does say Xbox 360.

5. There aren’t any Assassin’s Creed II demos in Microsoft’s booth.

6. Ubisoft only has the PS3 version in their booth.

Some PR rep has told me that it is indeed coming out for the 360. I’m thinking timed exclusivity maybe? Why no 360 or PC showing? Maybe they are finishing the PS3 version first? Maybe I’m just crazy.

Weapon X here again with a pretty interesting rumor update. Remember that these are rumors and take them with a grain of salt.

Word on the street has it that EA will be launching their Fight Night Round 4 beta the first day of E3. This beta will run for a total of 2 weeks. I don’t know how you can get in the beta, but this is supposedly what’s coming up. Read the rest of this entry »

Rumors! Rumors! Rumors! They just won’t stop coming. In the latest batch of rumors Prototype maybe moving into the Batman:Arkham Asylum slot due to the recent change in events this past week. It seems that since Eidos wants to keep the Dark Knight in his cave one more month Prototype may move into the June 23 time frame to pick up some sure fire blockbuster sales. The original date for Prototype is slated for June 9th. but it could be subjected to change. Batman: Arkham Asylum is set for a release sometime this July.

The MMORPG push for consoles is full blast right now. There’s a rumor that Blizzard is in talks with Microsoft about releasing MMORPG games on the next Xbox. There’s also a rumor that they are talking with Sony who is about to release 2 big MMORPGs next year with The Agency and DC Universe. Whether Blizzard is planning to bring new IP’s to consoles or further infect the world with more WoW goodness won’t be known until a much later date. As always, chalk these under rumors and breathe easy.

Whats up gamers! Well I don’t have any big news yet for this week but I did get something small that could turn into something big. Today I got wind that the DSi will be released this April 5th. What you might not realize is that not everyone may be able to get there hands on the next big upgrade of this DS. Local retailer GameStop will start taking pre-orders sometime tomorrow or sometime this week. It’s also been reported that this pre-order of the DSi will be VERY limited. Anyone looking for this baby better go quick because as soon as its put up for pre-order it will disappear in a flash. You can take that to the bank. Here’s Nintendo’s full press release:

I just got info from an industry insider that the Playstation 3 may very well be dropping in price this March or April. This is kind of what Torrence predicted a few Warzone episodes ago. Now the info states that the price drop is going to be $100. I talked with Torrence and he said, “no company has ever done a $100 dollar drop when they were selling well” This IS an X-Rumor, but take it with a grain of salt and stay posted for more info! Rumor on the streets is that Microsoft will be launching a holiday bundle for each SKU this Christmas. This info came from a very reliable source but take it with a grain of salt.

Here are the new bundles for the holiday:

1. The 360 Arcade system will come with Sega Superstar Tennis
2. The 360 Pro will come with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda
3. The 360 Elite will also come with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda

All of these bundles will sell for the price point they are at now with no mark ups on the MSRP.

If this is true, Microsoft is going to OWN this Christmas.
