gamesscreen_web

Today I give you word from Microsoft on what would appear to be flying under the gaming radar since most of the information is not 100% related to gaming, but the little bit of information that I’ve read is (IMO) something to get very excited about.

Now mind you not everyone is going to ecstatic about the fact that an official integration of Xbox Live to the next iteration of the mobile Windows Mobile platform.

This hub delivers the first and only official Xbox LIVE experience on a phone, including Xbox LIVE games, Spotlight feed and the ability to see a gamer’s avatar, Achievements and gamer profile. The time is almost upon us, the Zombies are hungrier than ever and it looks like Dead Rising 2 will bring us all of the great gory gameplay once again.

Capcom is also pleased to announce that Xbox 360 gamers will get an exclusive taste of Dead Rising 2’s signature gameplay with the release of its downloadable prologue, Dead Rising® 2: CASE ZERO. Available as downloadable content only on Xbox LIVE® shortly before the release of the full game

The first game was really a show peace during the Xbox 360’s launch. The original game had great visuals and unique gameplay. I’m glad to see Capcom giving the Xbox 360 community extra love via a special DLC bonus along side Dead Rising 2’s release window. Read the entire presser after the break.

So now that Torrence and Spenny’s picks are out of the way let’s move on to mine. Be warned that I, much like Torrence, did not have a chance to play Demon’s Souls at the time of writing this. If I had it probably would have made the list, but it can’t be helped. On to the nominees! Read the rest of this entry »

Where Has The Respect Gone In NHL Games

avery_finger

It’s the 3rd period and the score is 1-1. The game is down to the wire, tension is high, and only one goal could make or break you. The crowd goes wild because your opponent has just scored a go ahead goal. You look at the time and notice there’s still 8 minutes left and you breathe a sigh of relief because you’re still in the game. BAM! Your opponent has possession of the puck and starts to go in circles in his own zone. Read the rest of this entry »

TGN’s Worst Drivers Season 1: featuring Torrence Davis & Krome

Zack “attack” Warren (Ice) made this compilation of clips from races held over Xbox Live containing TGN members and my friend Sam Cadet (FNF 115) from SmokingSection.  In it, you will witness Torrence Davis’s skill in racing sims.  Not to be outdone, Krome (of AnalogHype fame) grabs himself a highlight.  What results is pure comedy. Rare continues to hint at new Killer Instinct game via Christmas Card

Rare xmas_70053_Holiday_Settings

Review: Call of Duty Classic

call_of_duty_box_art

Story:

Call of Duty’s story is still today one of the best in the WW2 genre. Unlike its counterparts CoD’s story had 3 protagonists which at the time was very refreshing and even today I prefer this approach to war games (If only we could play as the enemy as well).  You get thrown in the boots of American Pvt. Martin, Englishmen Sgt. Evans and Ruskie Pvt. Voronin. These 3 men will bring you through epic battles like D-Day, Operation Tonga and the Battle of Stalingrad. Read the rest of this entry »
