In a world where MMOs continuously borrow from the same formula as their online peers, rarely are we able to witness a work as mold-breaking as Eskil Steenberg’s LOVE. Being labeled as “the most ambitious video game ever made by a single person”, LOVE will be released on March 25th for the PC. Players will be able to immerse themselves in the first person world where controls have been simplified, not to make the game easy, but so that the player can focus more on the actual story itself. The open beta for Cryptic Studios’ Star Trek Online has officially launched, causing Trekkies everywhere to flock to their respective keyboards. A valid beta key is needed before anyone can join in on the fun however, thankfully a list of places to attain a key is available on the beta’s website along with a list of places where one can download the beta. Star Trek Online’s beta will last until January 26th before the full game is released on February 2nd. Those seeking more information will be able to scour a brief FAQ also hosted on the site. I’ve been playing a whole lot of Demon’s Souls since it launched last week and I agree with all of the reviewers out there. This game is unforgivingly hard as hell. That being said, the  game is so unique in gameplay and it’s online connectivity, you would be short changing your self if you own a PS3 and/or your a western role playing gamer.

I’ve been playing Combat Arms for some time now, and it’s is really a highly supported game by it’s fans and Nexon. You can always tell when a game is doing well, when the game(s) continue to receive updates for stability and upgrades that enhance gameplay and modes. Combat Arms is one of those games, were the game is a whole lot better from it’s original launch window.

EA has announced Rock Band for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Yet another triple A title makes it’s way to everyone’s favorite mobile gaming mobile phone. Now granted, the iPhone is not the best portable gaming device by any means, but for a phone it’s hard to argue that compared to all other mobile phones on the market, the iPhone is one of the most convenient was to enjoy gaming on the go with out looking like a kid.

I just received an update from PlayXpert and I like what I see. PC gamers are always having to sign up or create multiple accounts to game with their buddies online when playing a PC game. The time is upon us for a do it all, connect it all and voice for all software application for Windows PC gamers. Rejoice, it’s PlayXpert time. I’ve been testing out this product for a while now and to be quite honest, most of the time it crashed or didn’t work at all until now.
