iPhone Web Apps Fall Short

Wise words, Uncle Ben, but has Apple taken heed a little too closely? It’s no secret that the iPhone has its chastity belt as tight as Rosie O’Donnell stuck in a hula-hoop, and the only way to fully utilize the potential of the phone is to “hack” it. iPhone. By now, it’s almost a house-hold name. My grandma knows what an iPhone is. But is Apple’s newest gizmo a functional daily device, or is it just another flash in the pan?

Instead of posting a review immediately after getting the phone, I decided to take my time with the device, learning and figuring out its little quirks and bugs; trying to discover as much as I could about iPhone usage. This isn’t an argument about whether or not the iPhone is a good or bad piece of equipment, nor is it a scrutiny over its specifications. This is an account of one person’s experience with iPhone.

Microsoft Unveils Windows Mobile 6

During the 3GSM in Barcelona, Microsoft unveiled the latest version of it mobile phone operating system, Windows Mobile 6. This new system features an upgraded platform that makes e-mail, contact and Office documents look like a PC or laptop image. To ensure confidential information remains secure, Microsoft officials say security features include the ability to remotely wipe all data from the device if it lost or stolen. Windows Mobile 6 is scheduled for consumer release in the second quarter of 2007.

After months of rumor and speculation Apple has unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone. The silky smooth device is the combination of three products, a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with video, and an internet communications device that provides email, web browsing, maps, and searching. The iPhone also introduces a new PDA like multi-touch screen that does not require the use of a stylus as the device is easily controlled with just a finger. Apple has partnered with Cingular wireless on this endevour, a release date has not yet been announced.
