The iTunes Store Has Deleted Songs Off My Hard Drive

I’ve been using iTunes for years. Once it was available for Windows I jumped at the opportunity to use it. I loved the interface and the organizational tools. It gave me a reason to start purchasing music online with the iTunes store, which was a welcomed alternative to buying plastic CD’s. After realizing that the iTunes store deleted songs that I owned off of my hard drive, I left Apple for my new love, Amazon.com. Read the rest of this entry »

Golden Axe Makes Its Way To The IPhone

goldenaxe

One of my all time favorite games is coming to IPhone/touch, and boy if I owned one I’d be pumped. Hopefully Golden Axe will start a trend leading to more classic greats on the apps store; and in turn show the Ipod generation what gaming was all about. Golden Axe will be available as of today for $ 4.99 on the apps store. With more here`s the full press release.

SEGA(r) of America is excited to announce that Golden Axe for iPhone and
iPod Touch is available for download on the iTunes Apps Store as of today.
Available for $4.99, Golden Axe invites players to choose their hero in
this classic action game. Play as a powerful Fighter, a mighty Amazon, or
a rugged Dwarf - each with a score to settle with the evil Death Adder
who has captured the king and his daughter and holds them captive in
their castle. Filled with battles in dark castles, on the back of a giant
turtle and even on the wings of an enchanted eagle as well as unique magic
attacks for each character, Golden Axe brings players a taste of the
classic title using the iPhone/iPod Touch technology. As a fan bonus, the
iPhone/iPod touch version of Golden Axe offers two extra levels of the
game that weren't found in the arcade version!

Review: Myst for iPhone

One thing I’ve noticed throughout my life of gaming is that every so often a game is released that totally changes the way we think about and play video games. Be it incredible graphical achievements, an engrossing story line, or genre defining gameplay, when developers break the mold, it’s always the gamers that benefit. A true classic can engross players from all walks of life. From casual gamers, to hard core fanatics, a great game knows no niche. Read the rest of this entry »

Iphone 3.0, MMS Better Late Than Never

Seriously though, cheap ass color phones have been doing MMS for years.  The iPhone, which is hailed as one of the best phones on the market, doesn’t have MMS.  It’s always been one of my biggest complaints about the phone.  With hacked firmware this problem was later resolved but it still sucks that my friends try to send MMS to me and it fails.  A few years and a kick in the ass and Apple finally announces MMS capabilities with iPhone firmware 3.0.  They’ve also included copy and paste and horizontal texting.  Steve Jobs needs to dry his head off because it’s been stuck up his ass all these years.  Here’s the full release info on 3.0: Read the rest of this entry »

Microsoft Buys Danger

As originally reported by TechCrunch, while the ill-fated “zOMG MICROSOFT IS EATING YAHOO!” webstorm was roiling, Microsoft quietly acquired Danger Corporation, makers of (most) Sidekick handsets and their OS/web protocols. This move means potentially interesting things for MS’ E&D division (home also to Zune and the XBox line). One wonders if E&D’s charter is expanding (or perhaps more correctly, how much it is).
