Capcom has not announced a console for SFIV. Currently, it is arcade only. Here’s a quote from Capcom sent to me 2 minutes ago:

The only platform announced for SFIV has been the Japanese arcade release coming this summer

Went shopping with the old lady at Target yesterday, and guess what I saw?

Rumor has it that Capcom will be showing playable versions of Resident Evil 5 and Super Street Fighter II HD at the Game Developers Conference next week.  Funny thing is, I don’t see Capcom listed as an exhibitor.  They might have kiosks in both Sony and Microsoft’s booths though.  I won’t be there til Wednesday so if you find out it’s true, give us a shout.

Capcom released three arcade update documents this week with more information on their latest Street Fighter, but it proved difficult to open for some because it required a Japanese language update. The first update features Ryu and Ken and introduces Crimson Viper. The second update features all eight of the original fighters from SF2. The third update features Abel. Very little information has been provided regarding the two new boxers. As TD metioned, Capcom showed us Valentine’s Day love, by revealing a new character, Abel. At first glance, it appears he bears the colors of France (blue, white, and red) and most likely practices the French martial art form of Savate. You heard it here first. In the original Street Fighter 2, Vega was also said to have Savate influences.

According to campaignhd.com, Warner was set to go HD-DVD exclusive and so was Fox.  However, they were paid a heaping pile of cash from BDA to go Blu-Ray.  I don’t know, seems kinda fishy to me.  I think panic may be setting in to the staunch HD-DVD supporters.  Here’s the quote from the mysterious report of the payoff: Read the rest of this entry »

Hot on the heels of the latest PSP firmware update, there is speculation that the next PSP is in the works. With the popularity of the latest versions and rumors of a PSP Phone, it would not be suprising to hear the announcement of this new version within the first quarter of 2008.

Based on descriptions found in employment opportunities posted at Blizzard, many are speculating that a Diablo MMO is in the works. There are about ten positions listed as “Top Secret” for a Next-Gen MMO. Upon clicking on several of the descriptions, it mentions that the team that developed Diablo is looking for some team members. As much of a fan I was of the Warcraft series, I never took the chance to check out World of Warcraft. Diablo, though, is another story. I remember spending countless nights playing this game with my wife during our early years of marriage. When is Blizzard going to bring MMOs to the consoles. I stopped playing my games on my PC so long ago.
