Sonic and Knuckles is due to arrive within the month or so from Sega on XBOX Live. Yes, I know, I know it’s been awhile but I had to get this off my chest before I forget and someone else predicts Sega’s next move. I won’t be appearing on Warzone for awhile until I get some stuff resolved. Now, it’s come to my attention that Sega has plans to re-release Sonic Adventure for Zeebo when it launchs or pretty close to it. Sega has been known to take risky moves and it ends up costing them in end. However, the port may not do as well as it would if it were to be re-released for the next generation platforms given Zeebo isn’t a international launch, and may never be released outside Europe and Sega know this. What would they end up doing? Putting it on either disc form with extra goodies, or putting it has a downloadable title. They know how big older games of Sonic are and it would make sense. Checkmate Sega.

If you noticed I have discussed a special feature that isn’t really new to the world of video games. In fact, Nintendo was the first to introduce this console feature in the N64 console but of course you had to buy it. It was called Expansion Pak, released in 1999. It improved more detailed graphics, had more modes, higher framerate, greater screen resolution and other goodies for Nintendo titles. This little feature was known has Forward-compatibility. Some hot X-Rumors for you fresh of the press!

• Fable 2 preorders for the collectors edition comes with Gears Of War 2 clothing.
• Resistance 2 graphics may be beyond Gears Of War.
• Alex Ross lithogram may be bundled with collector’s edition of MK vs. DC
• God Of War level built in Little Big Planet for those who get the Kratos Sackboy!
• Exclusive catapult included with LBP reservations

Last night on the Warzone, Weapon X gave us the skinny on the GTAIV DLC.  Here are the things he mentioned:

1. GTAIV DLC will arrive in late October or Early November
2. The DLC will be more like an expansion pack
3. It’s rumored to cost 1600 MS points and will be very large

None of this is confirmed yet but Weapon X has some very good sources.  Stay tuned for more info on this in the coming weeks.

NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown has filed a lawsuit in New York claiming Sony and video game maker Electronic Arts are using his name and likeness without his permission.

The former Cleveland Browns star’s lawsuit said the companies sell a game featuring a character who looks like him and wears his No. 32. It doesn’t specify which video game, but notes the character is part of the game’s All Brown’s Team.

Brown seeks unspecified damages and an injunction barring the companies from “taking a free ride on the trade value” of the former running back’s name and image.

The 72-year-old played nine seasons with the Browns, before turning to Hollywood where he appeared in “The Dirty Dozen” and other movies.

Spokesmen for Sony USA Inc. and Electronics Arts Inc. did not return calls seeking comment. ESPN
