New 360 Chip Not Necessarily A Slim Redesign
I’m sure you’ve seen the leaked pics of the new 360 motherboard. These pics show a combined GPU/CPU. Many are speculating that this is the makings of a slim 360. 2 years ago Microsoft promised 3 new board redesigns. They promised the Falcon, Jasper and then the 3rd iteration would be Valhalla. There was also one called an Opus but there was no change in the hardware, it was a refurbish. Read the rest of this entry »

The All-Inclusive Final Fantasy XIV Preview (Gallery Included)

Final Fantasy XIV was announced at last year’s E3 shocking the crowd at hand. I would know since I’m probably one of the people you can hear yelling “What!” when they announced it. I was shocked that they were announcing XIV before the release of XIII. Then it all made sense to me when it was announced that this game would be the followup to Final Fantasy XI, and a MMO as well.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Review

When it comes to FPSs, I want them realistic. I am a long time fan of the Tom Clancy’s close quarter (Rainbow Six) and open range (Ghost Recon) series. In fact, the only “arcadey” FPSs I have ever enjoyed were Quake and Unreal Tournament (I am still a fan of the prior to this day). What makes those two games stand out? These are games where skill really prosper. Recently, FPSs and shooters in general are really popular. This had led to them becoming increasingly appealing to the casual market. What do I mean by this? There are lots of shooters on the market where the “Rambo” approach is not only a viable option, but is even encouraged. The weapons will bear the names of real weapons, but work nothing like they do in real life. Gun recoil is imaginary. In fact, guns apparently have no weight at all.

Video Game Warzone #81

This was a great show and lasted 4hrs and 20min. Because of a mistake made on my end, I only recorded 14 minutes of it. Thanks to veteran fan, Pwnnoobs, I was able to recover most of the show. So about 1hr and 30mins is lost. I’m hoping to get it back so I can add it later. I want to thank Pwnnoobs for sending me the file. I knew one day this would happen and it’s nice to see that so many of you actually record the show. When you hear the show stop, if you have it, please send the rest. It should only be like 50mb worth of audio.

Aaron Greenberg Comments On Natal Versus MOVE

After the official announcement of MOVE by Sony and the results of NPD, I had to see what was on Aaron Greenberg’s mind. So I asked him about Sony’s new MOVE system, what pushed 360 sales for February and the thoughts of seeing God Of War 3 quality graphics on the 360. Here’s his response: Read the rest of this entry »
New Medal Of Honor Screen Shots
These new screenshots came in last night from EA. Ding dong embargo dead. As you can see EA is clearly moving to take the Modern Warfare crown…again. A modern day Medal Of Honor. If this game lives up to the legacy of the series, you can count on a lot of happy gamers.

And The Infinity Ward Lawsuit Begins

We talked about this yesterday and during the discussion I said, “I hope IW sues Activision for the royalties”. Well low and behold folks, the law suit has been filed. This could get interesting. I’m wondering if Activision made up some stuff to fire them so they WOULDN’T have to pay them. They were supposedly due to receive the royalties for MW2 in the next couple of weeks. Now this is the type of industry drama that makes me hit the *popcorn*.
