Apple usually launches new variants of their iPhone in September. The Apple iPhone 7 release may not be as far as enthusiasts were expecting due to the excessive stocks of the existing flagship Apple smartphone.
The Apple iPhone 6 S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus have failed to sell as fast as Apple anticipated. A recent report has claimed that Apple is scaling back their production for the existing variants of their flagship iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus by up to 30 percent. The news of the launch of the next best iPhone is exciting but it also spells an underlying disaster waiting to happen if Apple get their cards wrong with the supply numbers again. There was a drastic drop in prices for the Apple iPhone 5S which is unprecedented for an iPhone which is compatible with most of the company’s latest upgrades.
Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were launched in September 2015 and have been stocking up at retail shops due to a decreasing demand for the Apple product. Apple has also suffered a drop in share prices as the market sentiment shifts away from them. A gradual decrease in sales is expected but the steep drop in production by the Cupertino based company has a lot investors worried.
The rumours about the all-new Apple iPhone 7 are keeping enthusiasts on their toes. Social media is buzzing with unconfirmed reports about the upcoming Apple flagship. The hottest rumours are that the Apple iPhone 7 will let users charge their phones wirelessly and the absence of the 3.5 mm earphone jack. All existing earphones will be obsolete if the 3.5 mm jack is taken off the iPhone 7. The argument in defence for Apple was that the phone can be made slimmer by getting rid of the 3.5 mm jack and using the charging port to serve its purpose.
The details are too sketchy at the moment to even hazard a guess. There is not enough credible information to set a date or even a month before September this year. We can assume an early September 2016 launch at best at this point but there is no confirmation to put that in stone either.
